Are you receiving your Jewel preferred card coupons in the mail? Each month, Jewel typically sends out coupons (1 for each week) for 10% off your order. The thresholds vary each month but typically range from $50-120 purchases. If you haven't received any, check to make sure your correct address is on file for your preferred card. Or ask at your Jewel Customer Service desk to be sure they send them.
The coupons state that the discount is taken AFTER all other coupons/offers are deducted but sometimes you'll find a friendly clerk that will scan it first. But don't bank on it! This month's coupons that we received are $8/80!
Happy Couponing!

If you go through the self-checkout, you can scan the coupon first, and the machines will take it! Of course, that can be a LOT of groceries to have to put through the self checkout.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, I look for a teenage cashier, and put my coupon on top, so it's the first one they scan. It's been my experience that the teen cashiers don't really care what order they are scanned it. For some reason, I always get a hard time about *any* coupon if it's a middle aged lady cashier. Last time, they tried to argue with me that the baby basics coupon I printed from the jewel web site wasn't real, and they'd never heard of jewel offering coupons on the internet! Jeez.
