Simple Steps: Week Two Re-Cap

For newbies, click here for prior postings.

I think I should have added "Write Re-Cap" on my to-do list for the week! I almost forgot! Well, here's a run-down of how my week went for the 8 habits so far:

1) Keep a Daily Food Journal - I jokingly told Rich I could do this by keeping my dirty shirts for the week! Nathan always wants to hug me when I am taking him out of his chair after dinner and I end up with our meal on me. As far as writing this down for the week, I get a C. I remembered about half the time. BUT I did get a benefit from this one because knowing I had to log the foods, I passed up on some things!

2) Squeeze in some isometric exercises everyday. - Total F for this one. I forgot this step. I promised myself to do better next week!

3) Maintain an efficient laundry system. - Can I go up to an A++? All of our laundry is clean! I think I have finally figured out a system that works. I'm going to wait another week, though, before I share it and jinx it!

4) Follow a daily to-do list - Probably another C. I remembered half the time. (Folks, I'm not going to make honor roll this week!) With "preggo-brain" going on, I really need to make this a daily occurance!!

5) Drink 8 cups of water a day. - I'm up to about 6. Like I said last week, I don't need the extra bathroom trips! :)

6) Walk 20 minutes a day. - I have been getting in about 3 a week. I am just so tired that I don't want to overdo it. The last few days the baby has been pushing on my lungs (or so it feels, I should say!) and I keep picturing myself passing out halfway around the block! :)

7) Clear out (clean) one drawer/cabinet/closet every week. - Another A++. I can thank the nesting syndrome for this one! I basically took on a battle of clutter in our lower level...and won! It looks very spacious and more open now! (and a little more baby-friendly!)

8) Save $2 a day or 1% of your weekly salary/allowance. - A++. Money is saved away for...whatever!

How did you do? Four more new ones tomorrow. (I'm going to need a to-do list to remember all of them!) Hopefully with time, these habits will be just that...habits...and won't require so much thought to remember them! Until tomorrow...
