Week in Review: Walgreens and Jewel Trips
Since we were out for Nathan's class today, I decided to make a couple stops to get some groceries we were out of, some things at CVS and some Wags deals. Here's the breakdown:
Wags
Transaction #1
2 Children's Tylenol
1 Children's Motrin
4 Cascade Gels
Total = $22.31 Received $12 in RRs.
Transaction #2
2 Children's Tylenol
1 Children's Motrin
1 Mailer Envelope
Total= $8.15. Received $2RRs.
Jewel
5 bottles of Jewel Syrup
4 packages of Sargento Shredded Cheese
1 can of kidney beans
1 can of black beans
1 large can of crushed tomatoes
1 8oz. jar of minced garlic
1 bag of Tostitos Scoops chips
1 8oz of Daisy Sour Cream
1 box of Fiber One Toaster Pastries
1 bag of Kraft Caramels (to make yummy caramel apples! They came complete with sticks!)
Total=$26.86 and I received coupons for free bread and pasta sauce. Not the best trip I've had but I did have more expensive items we were out of.
CVS
1 gallon of skim milk
1 gallon of whole milk
1 gallon of 2% milk
1 loaf of bread
2 greeting cards (upcoming birthdays)
1 pkg of Playskool baby wipes
1 bottle of Stetson cologne (for Papa for Christmas!)
Total=$2.49. (Used ECBs and CRTs)
Grand Total= $59.81 and earned $14RRs that I haven't used yet. (Crazy in that if I had bought the dish soap and meds not on sale/deals, they would have been $58!) We should be set for Children's meds, dish soap, syrup and cheese for awhile. And we got one Christmas present that we can mark off the list! More than likely, I'll use my RRs to buy milk/bread/buns that we need over the next week or two. Our Wags seems to have prices comparable to the grocery stores for those items lately.
How did you do? Feel free to leave a link to your blog or tell us about your shopping trip in the comments field! I love to hear your stories!
