A Weekend of Parties

We've had the last two weeks "free," in which we've pushed ourselves to get ready for the baby. (transitioning rooms) All of our "committments" fell on this weekend!! I hate when that happens. The weekend is over and you don't feel like you've gotten any rest. But...we did have a lot of fun, so I won't complain!

Saturday, we went to the annual Halloween party at our friends' house for the kids. It was so fun to see everyone in their costumes. As soon as that was over, we headed over to Rich's parents' house for our Halloween gathering with his family. Nana was going to be out-of-town next weekend and all of us wanted her to see the kids dressed up. We didn't get there until after 7pm and had so much fun chatting that we didn't get home until closer to 10:30pm! What a long day!!

Then Sunday, they had my niece's first b-day party early, as my parents were in town. (Unfortunately, I only got to see them at the party.) It's amazing how fast my niece is growing up! When we left, I couldn't believe how cold it had gotten! Winter is really almost here! I'm not ready!!!

Now I have to tell you this. I went to THREE gatherings and didn't have my camera with me at any of them. I couldn't believe I didn't bring it! BUT, on the way home from my niece's party, I opened my purse and there it was! I forgot I put it there! All that time, both days, I could have taken pictures and I didn't even know I had it with me! I guess that goes to show how tired I'm getting lately!!

But, fortunately, Nana had her camera Saturday night and got a pic of the boys dressed up! Yes...Nathan is the little Pooh Bear! Can you tell he was sick of wearing his costume?

So my plan is to rest up today and take it easy just playing with Nathan. I need a "down" day to recover! I haven't even looked at sales ads, coupons or planned any shopping trips! (gasp) :)

Hoping you all had a great weekend, too!
