Friday's Top Five Favorite Findings
It sure has been a long week, fighting illness and having a busy weekend at parties. But here are my favorites for this week that I want to share:
1) Product - Hamilton Beach 3-in-1 Slowcooker set. This is a set of "nesting" crockpots of 2,4 and 6qt. sizes. What I love about it is, you only dirty up the size that you need! Using the right size seems to cook my meals better, too. And it doesn't take up any more space than my old crockpot. Thumbs up! I got lucky and found mine in Kmart's clearance area for $27! Wow!
2) Children's Books - Karen Katz. What a wonderful author! The link I provided is for a 3-book box set for $10.87 on Amazon. If you are looking for a child's gift, it's the perfect price! Nathan loves all the lift-a-flaps on the books and has been learning body parts from them.
3) Website - Talking Child. This link gives a chart of toy/book/etc. recommendations based on your child's speech development level. What I also love are their Baby Babble and Baby Babble 2 DVDs. They have helped Nathan immensely with talking. And their Parent Tutorials after the videos are fabulous for helping you teach your child to speak. (See if you library has these!)
4) Article - Quick & Easy Pancakes. Every time I see her picture of pancakes on the posting, I crave one sooo bad! They look light and perfect. I can't wait to try out this recipe! I like the concept of her blog "Cooking during Stolen Moments."
5) Blog - "Whatever." I love the READ concept in her playroom with the large letters and pictures of book covers. Also, click to the main page and scroll down to see her fabulous pictures. I need a camera like that! :) Don't you feel you are right there with her shots?
Until next week...

I love your Friday's Top 5 posts! I just got the Swing book you mentioned in an earlier Top 5 post. We love it! We have the Karen Katz books you recommend and love them too.
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to say that I enjoy your entire blog! I found it from a link on another blog and have checked it daily since. Thanks for all the work you put into it.
Wendy,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the comment! I am so glad that you picked up Swing. I can't wait for Nathan to get his on Christmas! He loves Gallop so much that I know he's going to want me to read Swing to him over and over!
Thank you for the compliments! Sometimes you spend a lot of time putting up postings and you truly wonder if you are helping anyone. I may get 300-500 visits a day but so few comments. You never know what people like and don't like and you almost have to guess about what's working. It's always soooo good to hear people are finding useful information. It keeps me going!
Thanks again!
