Blog: Upcoming Changes

I started this blog to post deals for my family/friends. It then turned into a place where I could help people find deals, freebies, recipes etc. I've been up and running since August, and up until this point have not set-up the blog to generate income. I wanted to remain "non-profit."

Lately, I have been wanting to add some new features to the blog and I haven't been able to find the resources to tell me how to make those changes. My time is so limited with the two kids, etc. So, I have decided that I'd like to go to a couple of Blog conferences so I can educate myself and bring you even better deals!

Of course, everything has a price tag. So over the next few weeks, you might see a few changes pop-up on the sidebar to help generate some income. Rest assured, I plan on taking all money earned and putting it back into the blog; whether that be paying for conferences, domain name, blog re-design, giveaways, etc. I'm still here to help you out the best way I know how. I just don't want the blog to take any money away from my family, either.

So the first change you'll notice is the coupon bar off to the right. If you need coupons, feel free to print some there. My understanding is that it generates some income.

Another change? I've FINALLY figured out how to add an email subscriber for the blog. All you have to do is type in your email address in the place in my sidebar and it will send you an email confirmation. Once you accept that, you'll receive an email that day if I add any new postings. (These are the kind of things I'd love to learn how to do much sooner!!)

The other major change is that I've bought a domain today which is coupongeek.net. Don't worry; if you forget the new site, you'll be re-directed. I'll put up a posting when the domain is finalized.
