Jewel has a deal for Kellogg's Cereal for $10 off instantly when you buy 10 boxes, which are on sale for $2.50. They also have a deal that starts on Friday for free milk: (Note: Must be 12oz or more boxes)
Buy 3 boxes get 1 free gallon of milk
buy 5 boxes get 2 free gallons of milk
buy 7 or more get 3 free gallons of milk
Without any coupons, you can get 10 boxes of cereal and 3 gallons of milk for $15.00. But these coupons are out there to use:
~$1/1 Kellogg's cereal (various types) from 2/22 RP
~$.70/1 Any Kellogg's from 2/22 RP
~$1/2 Frosted Flakes here.
So the more coupons you have, the better the deal! As with all deals, check to make sure your local store is participating in these deals, as they could be regional to Chicagoland. Just so you know, it sounded "too good to be true" but yes, I called, it's true! :)
NOTE: I just got my new ad for the week so I'll try to write up other deals for this week tonight/tomorrow. They seemed to be helpful to some of you so I'll try to keep offering them, as time permits.
UPDATE: This info was printed on a catalina as an ad for upcoming deals. It should be automatically deducted from your bill. (The milk) Check with your local Jewel to be sure that they are running the same deal. It's not printed in any sales ad. It's advertised on the catalinas that can print at the register. (You don't need one for the deal. It's just how they advertise.)
For those of you with a Shaw's, the milk deal is a catalina for the FREE milk on your next purchase. So check to see how your store is running the deal before you check out with the milk!
Be sure to check by the Kellogg's cereal as some are finding tearpads for FREE eggs with 2 boxes of Kellogg's, too!

Great! I haven't gotten an ad yet - do you know, do you have to buy the milk with the cereal or is it a catalina coupon? Thanks for posting this!
ReplyDeletethanks for the jewel posts. they are really helpful...i am going to subscribe to your feed so i don't miss any!
ReplyDeleteMy heart is racing just thinking about it!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone else get that way before a big deal?
Hi, I just found you (from Crystal's link to this post). I am looking forward to following your posts, as I live in Chicago!
ReplyDeleteI checked my ad for this week, there is nothing about the milk - is it a catalina for free milk, or do you have to buy it at the same time. Thanks! I live in Chicagoland and the 10 for 15 deal is in my ad.
ReplyDeleteYes, I do believe you have to buy the milk with the cereal in the same transaction. You don't need a catalina for it to work. It should just be deducted at the time of purchase. Just check with your local Customer Service desk if you want to double check that your store is running the deal. It won't be printed in any ad---it's on an ad catalina, but you don't need it to get the milk deducted.
ReplyDeleteHope this helps!

ReplyDeleteMy heart has been racing all day after finding this! I even called my neighbor to see if she'd take the 3rd milk off my hands! I need the cereal and 2 milks! :)

Were both those deals in the same flyer? I have a Shaws in my area which is part of Jewel/Osco, and our current ad has the cereal deal, and the upcoming one (starting on Friday) has the milk deal. Do you know if the cereal deal is extended another week?
ReplyDeletethanks!
Erin
Yes, the cereal deal was extended another week. Lucky us! :)
ReplyDeleteMy Shaw's flyer for the upcoming weeks says that the free milk is on your *next* order, so I'm assuming it will print a Catalina for the milk at Shaws.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I noticed the ads up for this deal yesterday when I went in to roll some cats.
ReplyDeleteWell, that was a bit of work. First thing, I think the deal only works with Raisin Bran Cereal. That's the only cereal common to both the milk deal and the buy 10 for 1.50 each. I purchased 7 boxes of Raisin Bran (to get the free milk) and three boxes of corn pops (to get the 10 for 1.50 per box deal) The catelina would only print out a coupon for 1 free gallon of milk. The manager came up with a few interesting speculations as to why that happened none of which made sense to either of us. She eventually had me return the Raisin Bran and re-buy it to generate another free milk and then gave me $3 in store coupons. Worst of it was when someone took advantage of all of the shuffling around and made off with my debit card. Fooey. Think I'll go eat one of those boxes of corn pops and stew a bit.
