Tip #20 - Make Furniture/Items Multi-Task To Save On Space and Clutter
They now sell several pieces of furniture/items that tend to multi-task to help you save on space in your homes.
For example, they sell cube storage that works as a foot stool and a storage piece. You can store magazines, toys, etc inside. They also sell coffee tables and end tables that work the same way.
In some of our rooms, I've used smaller, but taller, Rubbermaid containers as both an end table or nightstand. I'll filled the one in our living room with puzzles. In the kid's bedrooms, they are full of books. If you go this route, make sure you keep hotter beverages and things such as lamps off of them. We moved our night stand lamps on top of the dressers instead.
Just keep your eyes open for things that will work for two or more purposes.
