Mr. Potato Head for $.50 Using Price Matching & Coupon

Dollar General has Mr. Potato Head advertised for $2.50 in their Toy Book. (Grab the ad in their store if you don't have one.)

There's a $2 off Printable Coupon HERE.

Take ad to either Wal-Mart or Target so they can price match. By using the price matching and coupon, you should be able to get it for $.50!!

Thanks for sharing, Couponing For 4!

Wow! Talk about a cheap stocking stuffer, right?!

I used one of these when Nathan was younger to teach him body parts. Makes for a great toy and learning tool! :)

Don't need one? Don't forget you can donate one to the needy.

UPDATE: Most Dollar Generals will take coupons. So call ahead to see if yours does and you won't have to worry about price matching. Thanks, Staci!

By the way, if you haven't tried price matching, it's not too bad. Our Target is very quick at doing our transactions. (You do them at the Customer Service/Returns Counter.) Just have the ad turned to the right page for them.

NOTE: The Mr. Potato Head is smaller than one shown. You can see a picture of it HERE on page 7. (Thanks, to my awesome reader friend for sharing!)

  1. i went down to our dollar general...thier mr. potato heads are really small(reg. price $3) and not at all like this picture. even the one in the ad is a different pic. WONDERED IF ANYONE HAS TRIED TO PRICEMATCH AT TARGET/WALMART???
also, my dollar general doesn't take home printed coupons.

  2. I also went to the Dollar General and their Mr.Potato Head's are really rinky dinky. Not worth the $3 in my opinion. They wouldn't take my printed coupon either. So I took the ad up to Target and got a REAL Mr.Potato Head and Mrs.Potato Head for .50 each! So excited. Thanks for the tip!
