Wow, it's been awhile since I posted one of these. After having Kaydi, I've been mostly focusing on just staying within our grocery budget and I haven't been running out for any deals, except for diapers/formula. But, here's my latest Target deal run.

6 Boxes of Special K Bars (w/ free samples of Protein water in them!)
2 Boxes of Kashi Bars
1 Fiber One Bars 2pk.
1 Fiber One Toaster Pastries
1 Crest Weekly Clean
2 Ocean Spray Juices
Grand Total? $11.25 (Most of the expense was on the shirt/shoes.) I don't want to say that I saved a certain amount because I'd never buy these things if I couldn't get them for next to nothing. But HAD I bought all of them at full price, it would have been around $63.
I love having the Special K and Kashi bars on hand for those mornings I have my hands full with the kids and I just need something to eat until I can finally sit down. They are also so perfect to throw in my diaper bag or purse in case I'm out and get a hunger pain. It keeps me from spending unnecessary money on something until I can eat a good meal at home.

Can you share how you did it? I commend you for getting all that for such a low price. I frequent our Target often, but don't ever see prices that low...were they all on clearance and did you also use coupons?

ReplyDeleteI had a coupon to get the Fiber One pastries and Crest for FREE. (I think I got the coupons in samples?)
I found printable coupons on MoneySavingMom for the Special K, Ocean Spray and Kashi. I found the Fiber One bar printable coupon on coupons.com. It's a two pack box by the front counter that's $.99 and the coupon was for $1 off.
The Special K had a coupon for $3/3 and then I had $1 off each one. One set was a Target and the other set manufacturers. So you can stack them!! I found these on discount and couple on the end caps making them next to nothing.
The Kashi Bars I had two $2/1 coupons. Those were discounted to $2.30 or something?
The Ocean Spray ended up being free I think with her coupons and them being on discount. It was only the one flavor, though.
So I guess you could say...coupons, coupons and more coupons. :) Check out MSMs site for printables. Sign up for freebies/samples and look at coupons.com and your Sunday flyers. If you use all of these, you'll save bundles!! Also, don't forget to check Target's endcaps. Sometimes they'll discount just one type of a product to get rid of them for a new one coming in.
