Between the combination of cutting our "entertainment" budget back and having the two little ones now, Rich and I don't make it out to restaurants too much. Actually...when was the last time?! :)
Years ago I found the site, Top Secret Recipes. Back then, all the recipes were free. Now, some are free, while others you have to pay $.79 for. (If only I had printed more back then!!)
I've found that this site can be a great way to enjoy your favorites while spending very little or nothing at all.
My favorite one I tried so far is the Applebees Baked French Onion Soup. Very yummy!
I've found that most of his recipes are right on and taste like the real thing. Customer reviews are listed so check them out first.
This is a great way to have "take-out" taste that fits right into your grocery budget! Having the recipe for your favorite item might just be the best $.79 you ever spent! :) Compare that to restaurant menu prices! And you don't have to leave a tip!
Note: He has an email subscribe option so you can be notified when a new recipe is added. This week's recipe was Olive Garden's Toasted Ravioli.
