Lenten Recipes Shared: Black Bean & Sweet Potato Chili

Here's this week's "Lenten" recipe that I found that looked interesting enough to try:

Black Bean & Sweet Potato Chili!

I never would have thought of putting sweet potatoes in chili before. (Nor corn, but after my friend, Marie, made a pot with it, I can't eat it without now!)

There were a few more meatless chili recipes here.

Lenten Recipes Shared

As promised, I'll be doing a posting each Friday until Easter on some Lenten Recipes that I find.

I'm all set to try the Buffalo Style Catfish Strips tonight.

Since I'm planning out my list for next week, I thought I'd put Spicy Catfish with Vegetables on the menu for next Friday.

I usually can't get Rich to eat fish so I plan on making the most of it while I can! I picked up some catfish at a really great price this week.

Got a recipe you want to share? What's your favorite fish that you like to eat? Leave us a comment or linky!

Ash Wednesday: Reminder and Lenten Recipe

This is just a reminder that today's Ash Wednesday. For some of you, this means no meat today! (That would include us.)

I received this recipe for Buffalo Style Catfish Strips in my inbox and it looked good enough to share since it had a 5-star rating. Since Rich isn't a big fish-eater, I thought maybe this may be something he might end up liking. I'm going to try it out and see how it tastes. (I'll let you know.)

Do any of you have any great Lenten recipes posted on your site or that you'd like to share in the comments? Maybe I'll do a "Lenten Recipes to Share" on Fridays until Easter. I'll leave you links to some recipes I've found online.

And then, there's always a quick stand-by: Grilled Cheese, Tomato Soup, Yogurt and a side of Fruit. :) I'm sure we'll be having this one at least one week.

(Is anyone else hungry now?!) :)
