Bloglight's On You: Lost In Pizzaland

As a Mom of a Toddler, I am always looking for new activities for us to do throughout the day. Well, my all-time favorite blogger has some great ideas on her blog Lost In Pizzaland. Now, why is she my fave? Because she's my older sister! :)

She was over at my house one weekend telling me all about the things her and my niece had been doing together. I told her she needed to start a blog and share since so many of us are looking for things like these. So there we were trying to think of her blogname and we were busting up laughing when she decided on one I threw out to her. It's a funny family story, that she shares in her sidebar.

What's her blog all about? She does weekly themes that you can do with your kids. She'll give you a supply list to look for and then the activities/crafts you can do. She also includes games, snacks and related books to look into.

Now, she's just starting out and doesn't have as strong of a computer background but she's catching on fast. You know how it is trying to figure out the quirks of Blogger! :) She's still working on her format but I think she's doing a great job. (especially considering the poor thing has to work off dial-up access, since some trees obstruct her high-speed capabilities!)

She shares so much information for each week that you could almost stretch it into a whole month, if you did a few a day! I've already got a few of her activities on my list of to-dos with Nathan. She also does a Bake/Cook/Make Saturday, adding a baking/cooking idea to do with your little ones. I'm loving her lion cookie idea she found. (Pictured above)

I'm still amazed at how many ideas she's gathered from books, library/school activities and just her own creativity. So if you are looking for some boredom busters, check out Lost In Pizzaland!

Bloglight's On You

I've had the privilege of meeting some new bloggers in the last few months. I just wanted to give you a little tidbit of a few of them. I'll do this randomly throughout the month so you can meet them all.

Coupon Saver San Diego - A great site for those of you from California and looking for some local deals.

Carrie Actually - Carrie of, It's Frugal Being Green, is launching her new blog called Carrie Actually. Since I love her other blog, I plan on checking out the new one, too!

Alaska Coupon Diva - Anyone from Alaska looking to save some $$, here's a blog with some deals for ya! But there are great deals for anyone from any state, too!

True Adventures in Money-Hacking - I met Wren a few months back. Some of her latest postings to check out are her really great gardening pics and recipe on how to make homemade veggie burgers! I am looking forward to the day when I can have a more extensive garden. Soon! :)

Energizer Bunny's Mommy Reports - Marina has the absolute adorable giveaways and gives some really great Mommy tips. You'll have to see the latest giveaway HERE for a stitched elephant piggy bank. :)

Making Cents Out of Life - Kristin is never short of deals and info on her blog. One to check out---Kmart's Christmas Club! I've never heard of it!

These are just a few of the great people I've met recently. There are more to come!! While I love helping everyone save money and work on getting out of debt, meeting new people and building friendships is another great joy in blogging. I love seeing so many people sharing their own special talents to help and/or inspire others. :)

Bloglight's On You: Urban Girl Fitness

Every once in awhile, I like to highlight a blog/site that I have come across that I really love. One that is totally worth the time to check out. Since it's Fitness Friday, what better time for me to highlight one of my new faves...

In one of my fitness updates, there was a linky left and I'm so glad that I checked it out. When I clicked on it, it landed me to Urban Girl Fitness, and it's become a big fave of mine for fitness and health tips and humor. She has found some great daily quotes. :)
