Coupons, Deals and Freebies

Coupons
This one is for NY&Co and is for their online store. Spend $40 and get $20 off using promotion code 8078. Spend $100 and get $40 off using promotion code 9003.

Another online "coupon": Check here for a free one month trial to Blockbuster online Total Access. This is for new members only and will automatically renew if you don't cancel before the month's over. (Just mark your calendar!) :) This is a great way to catch some movies without having to drive to return them or worry about late fines.

Deals
I forgot to mention two Jewel deals going on through Wednesday this week. They have a "Spend $20, get a coupon for $10 on your next shopping trip." There are several participating items. Check your ad for the entire list, but here are some of them: Hunt's Spaghetti sauce ($1), Peter Pan peanut butter (2/$4), ChefBoyRDee (10/$10), Hebrew National Beef Franks (2/$7), Swiss Miss Pudding (2/$4), Hunt's Snack Packs (10/$10), Orville Redenbacher's Microwave Popcorn ($1.69)...I listed some of these because I think there were coupons in prior papers for them. Check the grocery coupon database here to see. The All You Magazine for this month has a $1 off Peter Pan peanut butter pull-out coupon in the middle of the mag. (This month's mag is TOTALLY worth the $1.77 as they also have free Kraft/Oscar Meyer items' coupons!)

Jewel also has a prescription deal going on. I believe it was fill 5 prescriptions and get a coupon for 10% off your next shopping trip. I don't remember if this was through October or November. I'll update this when I find out.

Freebies
Free Orville Redenbacher popcorn cakes sample
Free Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Foot Creme sample
Free Perfect Sleep sample
Free Nature Way Protein Powder sample and introductory CD

Happy Shopping!

  1. Where did you find the Spend $20, get a coupon for $10 on your next shopping trip" deal at Jewel? Is it a coupon you have to scan?

The Spend $20 get $10 was advertised in their ad. We get their ads on Tuesdays and Sundays for the same week. It was in our Tuesday ad. Most Jewels will have both ads up front. (Sometimes they don't advertise all ads again in the Sunday edition to make the ad smaller. Silly, as some of the better deals don't get published again!) When you buy $20 of those items, a coupon will print at the register for the $10 off your next trip. I actually checked out twice that day to use mine. :) I bought 2 bags of Doritos, 2 pancake syrups, Jewel eggs and 4 bags of pens(using coupon for them) and paid $.63 out of pocket. If you can't find that ad, I will be more than happy to type up all the items for you. I was just crunched for time earlier today. Thanks for the checking out my blog!

  3. Darn, I wonder if it's a regional offer. My ad has "save $5 when you spend $20" offer. (I'm in Des Plaines, btw...nice to find another Illinois frugal person!)

  4. oh, fyi, jewel has a coupon on their website for their store brand diapers, $2 off 1 pack (baby basics brand). It seems to be an ongoing offer, because I printed one last week and got an expiration date of 8/23, and I just printed another one with an exp. of 9/11.

I'm sorry yours in only $5! It was such a great deal. Our ad is for the Joliet/New Lenox area. So if you are this way for anything, wait and hit our stores. :) Thanks for the tip on the diapers! I tried them a few months back and Nathan broke out in a rash. I may try them again, though. You never know if rashes are just bad timing or really the diapers.

Glad to find a fellow Illinois frugal person, too! Hoping to keep hearing from you.
