Week in Review: Kmart Double Coupon Trip!
Nathan and I made a quick trip into Kmart. I wanted to get there before word really got out about the double coupons. I really hate chaotic stores! Luckily, there wasn't hardly anyone there and checking out was a breeze (and Nathan was an angel!). Here's what we got:
Dreft Laundry Soap 2X Concentrated
Christmas Ziploc Bags (for the goodies we'll make!)
2 bags of Fun-size Snickers (For Halloween)
2 bags of Fun-size M&Ms (For Halloween)
2 large cans of Lysol Disinfecting Spray
1 Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner
2 bags of Beggin Strips treats (For the Doggies for Christmas!)
Pampers Baby Wipes
1 box of Tylenol Rapid Release Gels
Tucks Hemmoroidal Cream (A pregnant person can never be too prepared!)
1 box of Colgate Toothpaste
1 large Pert Plus (for my sister)
2 3-ring binders (one for me and one for Nathan's art)
1 Cat folder (fuzzy velour for Nathan)
1 matching folder for my binder
1 planner
2 packages of Kotex Maxi-Pads
1 bag of Cheddar Fries snacks (ooohh these are sooo good!)
Total= $20.63! (I did use a $5 Sears Gift Card I got from Ad Perks) The original total was about $82. I also earned a $5 Lysol Rebate! So my end total would be $15.63. Crazy as the Dreft itself was originally $12.29! :)

Did they have signs up abot the double coupons? I haven't made it to my kmart yet, and I'm a little apprehensive about what kind of experience it will be (madhouse? crabby cashiers?)
ReplyDeleteThey had one sign up by the Customer Service Desk. You can use up to 75 coupons. Only four of the same kind. No Internet(printed) coupons allowed. One coupon per item.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky and ours was dead and I got through the check-out fast. I suppose the cashiers will depend on how busy it is. But mine was just fine.
The coupons scanned for the original amount and then at the end, it took off the rest.
Good to hear. I will brave kmart tomorrow, then!
ReplyDeleteI called my kmart and was told that they are only offering double coupons if you have a letter from kmart.com. I am a subscriber to kmart.com but I did not get the letter - anyone else get it?
ReplyDeleteI didn't get a letter either and I do receive the Kmart newsletter. Sorry they are giving you such grief over the coupon days. This is the first time ours has done it. I was surprised they were on the list this time. It was almost like Christmas early!
ReplyDeleteLiz,
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Let me know how it goes!
I went on there website and clicked on "contact us" and asked them about it. They sent me an email back saying that my store doesn't participate but if anyone that walks in a Kmart store and tells them they want to do double coupons they have to honor it. I also brought the email w/me to the store because I knew my kmart would have no clue what I was talking about. And it worked! I spent $100 and spent $17!!
ReplyDeleteSahara,
ReplyDeleteThat is WONDERFUL news! I am so glad that the email from them worked at your store. Sounds like you got some great deals! I wish my coupons had been a little more organized so I could have picked up more, too!
Great story! Thanks for sharing!
