**Sorry but this giveaway has ended!**
This is one you shouldn't scroll past! You'll want to take a minute and read and enter!
So most of you are probably like us and rarely get out for that "date night" any more. So when I was offered an opportunity to try Romano's Macaroni & Grill Restaurant Favorites meals, you better believe I said, "Yes!" Even though I knew it was coming, it was still like Christmas in my kitchen when it arrived! Not only did I get the free meal sent to me, but I also received a colander, serving spoon & cheese grater (everything needed for a great meal) and...are you ready for this...THREE coupons for a FREE meal! Yup THREE. This is so I could end up trying all 4 varieties. (The other varieties are Chicken Alfredo w/ Linguine, Chicken Marsala w/ Linguine and Garlic and Herb Chicken Penne.)
So I quickly worked this into my weekly meal plan. On Wednesday, I made up the Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken & Pasta. The box says, "Ready in 20 minutes" and they aren't lying! Everything in the box was labeled and it was so easy to prepare. I just followed the instructions and added some chicken to the boxed meal. I was getting so anxious for dinner as the time went on. It was looking sooo good!
So we sat down to eat and I felt like I should do a double take to make sure I was in my own kitchen. We don't normally have something this gourmet in our house! (And by that, I mean premium ingredients such as such as vine-ripened tomatoes, select cooking wines, specialty herbs and 100% semolina pasta!)We are such simple people. And the verdict...Two enthusiastic thumbs up! In fact, I guarantee you will see this in future shopping trip pics! But the real test of great food...if there's any leftovers, how does it re-heat. Most of the time they turn out clumpy and so greasy you don't even want to eat it. I was highly impressed that it re-heated to the exact same quality and taste as the first time around! It made for a great lunch for me the next day. (I was actually surprised we had leftovers but there was just so much food!)
But, don't take my word on any of this because...you can get this exact same gift set if you win. And THREE of you will win! Here's a refresh of what you'll get: A "What's For Dinner" gift basket which includes a sample of the Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken Pasta variety, three coupons for you to try the other varieties the next time you visit your local grocer, a colander, serving spoon and cheese grater. That's right folks, FOUR MEALS! :)
HOW TO ENTER--It's easy!
1) Leave a comment with your first name and contact info such as email/blog address. And just for fun, tell us what is your biggest struggle with preparing dinner for your family?
2) Help me spread the word about this great giveaway by blogging about it or "tweeting" on Twitter. Make sure you come back and leave you name and email/blog address again.
I'll cut the giveaway off at Tuesday, April 21st at Noon CST. I'll give each of the THREE winners 3 business days to respond to the winning announcement I'll send them but if I don't hear back after that, the amazing gift set will go to another lucky reader.
I really hope you win! And thank you sooo much to Amanda of My BlogSpark for this incredible opportunity for my readers and for giving me the great gift of 4 "date nights" with my husband! (But trust me, this will become a regular meal going forward!) :)
**Sorry but this giveaway has ended!**

I would love to win this one! With three kids, a husband and part-time job, the time I have to prepare dinner is not much more than 20 minutes! Thanks so much!

Luckily I'm on maternity leave right now so can prepare dinner earlier in the day while the baby sleeps. Trying to prepare dinner after a long day at work with a tired and hungry 2 1/2 year old complaining is a big challenge for me.

This would be GREAT!!! figuring out whats for dinner is the most frustrating part of the day for my fiancee and I. this Giveaway would make for the best week ever.

Wow..this would be perfect. With two kids and working full time, trying to prepare dinner after a long day is the most challenging part of my day. We have a 13 month old and its been more than 2 years now that my husband and I had a night out!! This would be so nice.
ReplyDeletenithya dot nr at gmail dot com
What a fun giveaway! My biggest struggle is keeping the kids happy while I fix dinner!
ReplyDeleteMy biggest challenge USED to be the time it took to prepare meals when I got home from work. Now I do OAMC and have most things already prepared in the freezer. These Macoroni Grill dinners would be a welcome change though!
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time, believe it or not, with a picky husband! He's a "meat and potatoes" guy, whereas I love veggies and pasta. I have a hard time finding a balance with finding foods that everyone enjoys.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! My biggest struggle is cooking from scratch everyday! Guess I should try this great entrees for a change! :)
ReplyDeletethese sound great! the hardest part of preparing dinner for me is planning early enough in the day to do everything I want to do, make bread or defrost, etc.
ReplyDeleterachel"at"gmail.com
lack of planning ahead is our biggest dinner struggle. we LOVE the cramy chicken parmesan flavor in our house, but we still haven't tried the others!

With work and after school activities, a quick meal is a necessity on most nights. Hope we win! Thanks for the great giveaway! Lisa LiPen5@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI love to cook dinner, but my biggest struggle is that I am a vegetarian and Hubby is a carnivore. Even after 25 years there is still that finicky "I don't wanna eat that" NONSENSE goin' on! If they would just shut their traps and eat what I fixed it would be HEAVEN!
ReplyDeleteFor the most part they are GREAT and Hubby is not the problem, it is my darling daughter!

My biggest struggle is time. I don't leave work till 5:30 or 6pm and then by the time I get dinner made it is really late and is hard to have my son wait that long. So dinner is always a struggle for HEALTHY quick food.
Hi. Love your website. My biggest challenge for preparing dinner is having the time. I work full time and we are new parents so just finding the time is hardest.

My family loves the chicken alfredo! Our biggest challenge is being involved in so many activities that it is hard to find time to eat together.

OK, I have 4 kids who all like different things. The worst part about dinner is, that if my picky kids like it, the one who likes everything won't, and it's bound to make someone wish they hadn't eaten!!!

What a great give-away! My biggest challenge is that my husband hates to eat left overs- including dishes I make fresh and freeze.. so everything has to be fresh or camouflaged! :) I'm trying to teach my kids to eat whatever is served.
ReplyDeleteamtami08 (at) yahoo (dot) com
This would be great for my family! I work in the evenings, so I have to either prepare something to be ready for the hubby and kids to eat at dinner, or there needs to be something quick and easy that cooking-challenged hubby can whip together. Seems like this would be the perfect solution! Plus, I've been wanting a metal colander forever, and this one looks super nice!

I would say this is one of the best giveaways I've seen!
ReplyDeleteMy biggest struggle with dinner is finding the time (and energy) to make something decent that doesn't take 2 hours. I have 3 kids (one is a newborn) and I run a small day care out of my house, so by the time all the kids get picked up and my kids calm down, I am ready for a bowl of Froot Loops and my bed! My biggest struggle is the clean-up required after preparing a big meal! A good meal makes a big mess usually!
Anything that is quick, but does not leave your taste buds feeling that way is perfect for my weekly meal plans. It important to me that my family gets a good dinner each night at a reasonable hour, after work and picking up the kids our dinner time is usualy 6:30, sometimes even later, so somthing ready in 20 min. is a wonderful idea, as long is it does not tast like it came out of a box! What a great give away!

OK....so I've overlooked some of the comment and I can relate to 98% of them. I am the single parent, have a the full time job that pays the bills and two other full time jobs (kids)and I clip coupons and always looking for a deal. I get home by six and try to relax next thing you know ir's almost seven and the "Mom, what's for dinner" starts over and over and over....so like I said just like everyone else, the full time, the afterschool activities, the two hours of home work, the lack of energy, it's just nice to win something and catch a break every now and then. :-)
