24 Hour Giveaway: $30 Kroger Gift Card - Giveaway Ends Tomorrow!
Here's the irony...daily I post, "Call ahead to see if your location is participating." And I usually remain faithful to that logic. But, I didn't this time. I checked online at the nearest Kroger ad. The print was small. I didn't see the Mega Sales Event listed but figured...it must be...it wasn't. :) I found this out upon checking out.
Now most Kroger shoppers probably would have known earlier. But to be honest, this is the first time I've been in one in 10 years! I didn't think we had one near but then found there was one, not super close, but within a reasonable driving distance.
But, thankfully, most of the items were on sale and I had coupons. And the great thing about Kroger is, they have great prices. So even though I didn't get to cash in on the Mega Sales Event Savings, I still paid less than $40 for everything pictured! And what's great is, I was given a $30 Gift Card to shop with! It was like a fun little shopping spree and I was able to pick up a few things I'd been wanting to try. I also was happy to see such an extensive Organic foods area! Most of our other stores have just one aisle but they had several!
Now, most Kroger chains are participating in something called Mega Sales Event. It's where you buy 10 of the participating brands and you get $5 in instant savings. This is running sometime between August 16th - September 2nd. And please, don't do what I did. Call ahead to see if yours is participating. :) And check your local ad to see the listing of brands included in the sales event.
To entice you to check out the great buys and sales, General Mills and Pepsi Co have offered me a $30 Gift Card to Kroger to giveaway to one of my readers. Yes, you get to go on a shopping spree, too! And for those of you that deal-shop and coupon know...$30 can go a long way!

My favorite produce item right now is seedless grapes. They are frequently on sale at this time of the year and my kids love them. I often freeze them as a treat. When frozen they are kinda like sorbet. Also, great when your sick with a sore throat, vitamin C and coldness to sooth your throat.
