Giveaway #12: Bagnesia Reusable Bag Reminder Kit
One of my reader friends, Allie, sent over an email with info on the Bagnesia set. I was interested so I contacted them to see if they'd send me a kit to check out. Not only did they send me one but they offered me one to give to a lucky reader, too.
Let me tell you that I need all the help I can get when it comes to remembering to bring my reusable bags with me shopping. I usually remember right about the time I'm grabbing the plastic shopping bags they hand my stuff over to me in.
What's special about this kit? Well, it comes with a few reminder items, such as a velcro piece that goes around your steering wheel, a door hanger to remind you when you leave your house, a super compact reusable, water-resistant shopping bag and a pouch to fit your bag, keys etc in.
When this arrived at my house, I thought maybe I didn't get a kit as it was such a small package. But nope, it was all in there! I love how small the reusable bag is! It rolls up and has a band to keep it shut plus a keyring to hang onto something. It's so small that I plan on just keeping it in my purse at all times. You never know when you might need one! They also sell some reusable produce bags that I might consider picking up in the future. I never thought about using any of those! I'm planning on working on becoming a little bit more "green" this next year.
So one lucky winner will win the Bagnesia Reusable Bag Reminder Kit that you see pictured above. (Minus the groceries, of course!) :) So if you need a little help with your own Bagnesia, this might be one you'll want to enter!

Well, I wish I could say I do more to be "green." We are BIG recyclers in my family though. We have three of the big blue totes and fill them ALL up each week. Soon, we'll probably need a fourth!

One way I am trying to become a "little more green" is by giving my gifts in reuseable shopping bags, such as the great one you are offering as a prize.

I remember my reusable bags most of the time. These reminders would really help. I also wash our clothes in cold water and have turned back our thermostat.

I do try to use my own bags and I could certainly use a few more.

ReplyDeleteI recycle a lot; paper, boxes, cans, glass, and plastic; even batteries, paint, and electronics. I even organize my recyclables. I have to especially go through the garbage to see if my hubby had "accidently" put in the garbage. I hate using disposable diapers but I put the poop in the flush and I am potty training my 17 month old so I do not have to use diapers anymore. Next kid, I am using old-fashion cloth diapers.

ReplyDeleteI no longer buy plastic water bottles instead I have multiple reusable aluminum water bottles. Another way, I'm going green is by recycling and donating items that I no longer use or need.

ReplyDeleteI try to use my reusable bags when I go shopping and skip the boxes at Costco but I tend to forget my bags b/c they are stored on a shelf. Like you I remember when they are bagging my groceries. I have also stopped using paper plates and try to limit my paper towels.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog and forgot to leave my address on my other comment. It is on my blog profile so hopefully that works.

I am using these green bags from past 2 years and
ReplyDeleteresearch has shown that customers are much more likely to re-use high quality bags than plastic carrier bags.
I do recycle and do my best to remember my own bags but do fall short sometimes. I try to be more aware of what I do and purchase that may be harmful to the enviroment. Mindy nevaeh113@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteI reuse a lot more than I used to. I reuse gift bags and bows, I use plastic grocery bags as trash bags, and I reuse food containers for leftovers and small trinkets.
ReplyDeletesskvam (at) gmail (dot) com
I use reusable shopping bags, exclusively, for grocery and drugstore shopping. I have quite a nice supply now and have not forgotten them in a while. When we empty them, they are stacked together ready to head to the car when I go down. Hubby also has several in his car and uses them too!
ReplyDeleteThis year for Christmas, instead of heading to the dollar store and buying $1 gift bags, I will be buying Kroger reusable bags for gifting. I think it is appropriate since the bulk of the gifts we are giving are homemade goodies from my kitchen!

I'm what you'd call a "green freak"... use only all natural or chemical free cleaners and detergents (or Norwex stuff!), cloth diaper my son (and line dry them in the summer!), compost, recycle, reusable bags, and eat organic as much as possible. :) My next step is to have our own organic garden next summer!
