Giveaway #8: Read With Me System
Not only has my son started to take an interest in computers but he's also gotten bit by the game system bug a little bit. I let him play with my Nintendo DS for awhile and that's all it took. I know he's itching to play something on our Wii.
We wanted to get him something of his own that he could play and I found a great deal on the Read With Me System. We've only been able to play it a few times, but he seems to enjoy himself.
This giveaway is for one Read With Me DVD System that comes with the disc for "Where The Wild Things Are." It's a cute little system for younger kids to play. The discs play in the DVD player while their little system helps them play the actual games.

My favorite holiday tradition is decorating the tree with the kids. They all love looking at the ornaments each year as if they have never seen them before. I love telling them where they came from and why we may have gotten it etc.

My favorite tradition is one we have adopted in the last few years. Hiding a pickle ornament on the tree and the first child to find it gets an extra small gift. It's great to watch them hunting for the green on green (and it gives us a chance to enjoy some coffee). My daughter would love this, I hope I win.

I love decorating the tress as a family, while listening to Christmas carols. My fmaily always did it together when I was younger, now my hubby and I do it together with what we have. Last year we had a tree (live one donated by a local church to seminary students who could not afford to go home) but no decorations - though this ment we got to do it 3 time, first when we set up the tree and hung the 2 decorations we hap plus the candy canes we got at our Church Christmas dinner, another time when a friend going overseas for Christmas lent us her decorations for the season, and a final time in late Dec after we hit the dollar store 50% off after Christmas sale and got some ornaments of our own! This year I was able to get a tree on freecycle so we had fun putting it together and putting up the stuff we bought last year!
ReplyDeleteWe also started a tradition of buying one ornament each year, will be so interesting to look back as the years pile up and remember the significance of each year.

My favorite tradition for Christmas when I was growing up was waking up to freshly baked-from-scratch cinnamon rolls. We would eat our sweet rolls and then open presents. The memories are priceless, and my husband and I carry on the tradition with our two sons.

Our favorite holiday tradition is taking our grandkids around town to look at all the Christmas decorations and lights. We started with our now seven year old grandson. We have since added a grandaughter and grandson. It's great one on one time and we all look forward to it. After our light seeing we return to our house for hot chocolate.

ReplyDeleteIt's hard to pick one favorite Christmas tradition. But one favorite is we go shopping as a family for ornaments. Everyone gets to pick one for themself. We mark it with the family member's initials and the year. Each time we set up the tree the kids love to find their past ornaments. We've been doing this for about 8 years now.

My favorite holiday tradition is on Christmas Eve and everyone gets to open one present from under the tree. It is always new pajamas and slippers. We all get dressed in our new pjs, make our hot cocoa, and get in the car and drive around looking at all the Christmas lights. Then we come home and snuggle together and do our Christmas devotional and then sprinkle reindeer food outside, put the cookies and milk out and get the kids to bed. I LOVE Christmas Eve!!!
