Confessions of...A Toddler??

Nathan was standing by us during Kaydi's baptism. While we were repeating things back to the Priest he wandered off... right into the confessional! A few minutes later the Priest stops, laughs and says, "Normally I can't get anyone in there!" I said to Rich, "Who's in there?" I thought Nathan was still standing on the other side of him! He definitely is a curious little guy!

If I had to guess, I think he was confessing to coloring on the wall earlier in the week when Mommy was trying to clean the house for the baptism! (Hopefully he was also asking for forgiveness for taking the attention away from his sister and the sacred ceremony that was going on!) :)

Here are a few more pics from the baptism.

I liked at the end of the ceremony when the Priest said, "Let's all welcome our newest little Christian." It made me glad that both Rich and I were raised in families of faith so that we can pass that on down to our children.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Nathan!

I can hardly believe that my little boy is 2 years old today! Wow, time sure does fly by! It's like if I let myself blink, it will be that dreaded day when I have to drop him off at his first day of school and not get to know all of his life experiences. I love being able to be home with him and see each moment of his life as it happens. In two years time, I've watched him go from not even being able to hold his head up to saying, "Mama, books please" at nighttime. (I love his passion for reading!)

I was just asking Rich last night if he ever wondered what Nathan was going to be like when he was older. The one thing I do know is, he's destined to make people smile. He just has that quality about him that warms your heart and makes you laugh. I hope he never loses that about him.

Since it is his birthday, I am going to refrain from my usual postings this morning and focus on making sure he has a really great day. I will be putting up some deals during naptime, though. So please check back later.

Happy Birthday, little Tater!

Nathan's Latest Artwork

During our last $2 Tater Thursday session, Nathan made me this triple art painting. I used a package of 3 8x10 thin canvases that they sell fairly cheap at Michael's craft store. (Even cheaper with 50% off coupon!) It made for a nice little extra splash of color in his playroom.

You can check out the rest of our day here.
