Baseball Game Outing
We had won some tickets to a local baseball game at an auction so we decided it was time to use them! Welcome to the new budgeted life! :) We had lawn seats so the first thing we did was to find a good spot for our blankets and then walk around to see the "sights." We spent $1 on a ticket for Nathan to try out the "jumpy tent." Then we did a "splurge" and bought him a $4 soveniur softee baseball.
Sadly enough, there were lawn chairs in front of us so we didn't get to see much of the game, but Nathan kept us greatly entertained! He played a lot of catch with his Daddy. Everyone around us kept saying, "That kid's got a GREAT arm and will be a great pitcher someday!" We then sought out supper: hot dogs, a corndog for Nathan and some fries to share. Towards the end of the night, Daddy had to buy Nathan his first bag of cotton candy. He wasn't quite sure what was up with the dissolving food but in the end, he seemed to like it. A couple next to us with two little girls ended up playing with Nathan. The girls were having such a good time that we were worried we'd end up having to take them home with us! In the end, we had a GREAT time and spent around $25. That's not too bad for a night out that included supper, too! We probably could have gotten by with $17 but being Nathan's first game, we wanted to try to give him a few new experiences, too. Next time, the bill will be less! :)
