CG's Giveaways: Mini-Organizational Kit

If there's one thing that I could definitely use in my life right now, it is a little organization! (I'm sure you can all say the same thing about your lives, right?)

Well, I tried to put together a little kit that fit into the "Growing Your Wallet" and the "31 Ways to Save On Your Grocery Budget" series for this month. And this is the prize that I came up with...a mini-organizational kit. It includes:

~A Magnetic Day-of-the-Week Board that can be used to display your Weekly Menu Plan

~A Little Journal to help you start off some form of a Price Book

~A Magnetic Note-pad that can be used as a shopping list or low inventory list

~A pack of 8 blank note cards that can be used for future thank-you cards, etc.

~And...a little 13 pocket file folder that clasps shut that can be used as a coupon organizer or a rebate/receipt holder.

If this little kit interests you, here's how you can enter:

1) Leave a comment and tell me your best organization tip that you've found that works. Be sure to leave your first name & email/blog address.

Then the other normal ways to enter apply: (Make sure you leave a separate comment for these, too!)

2) Simply leave a comment with your first name and email/blog address. This is a bonus entry! :) Please check that your email address is correct before submitting. (This should be a separate comment than the one above.)

3) For an additional entry, write a posting on your blog about the giveaway and link back to the giveaway. If you don't have a blog, you can "tweet" about the giveaway on twitter. Make sure that you leave another comment letting me know that you did this. (Be sure to leave your email/blog address again.)

4) There's a total of three entries allowed per person.

Click here for basic giveaway info.

The giveaway will end on Monday, May 11th, 2009 at 11:59PM, CST.

Good Luck!

  1. Hi Jaycie,

It's Precious! My best organizational tip is to always pick up every room of the house and put misaplaced items back where they belong, empty the garbage, and make sure all the dishes are done before you go to bed at night. No one wants to get up to a messy house in the morning!

  2. My favorite organizing tip was to put a small board in my shower to jot my ideas down. That is the one place where I am not interupted and can concetrate. I write my daily to do list and when I'm finished showering, detach and take with me!

  3. Hi! My only tip for organization is use what you have! Use empty wipe boxes, coffee cans, cereal boxes. You don't need to spend a lot to organize, unless you can! I am a sucker for organizational products, LOL, but I have learned the hard(eg,BROKE) way to use what you have!

  7. Hi! What a great giveaway...I am always looking for new ways to stay organized! One of my favorite ways to stay organized is to keep a little pad of paper with me where ever I am, that way if I think of something I need to do or buy I can jot it down and I won't drive myself crazy later trying to remember what it was.

  21. What a wonderful organizing kit! One of my organizing tips is to use a blank calandar sheet for a month of dinners, but plan week by week. I make pizza every Fri, so that is the first thing I write in on the Friday dates. When I think of things during the week that I would like to have the following week or later, I just start filling in spaces as I think of them. Sometimes I get a whole week almost filled by the time I make a grocery list, I only have a couple more spaces/days of dinners to fill in and I just go with whatever is on sale at the store.

    Hi Jaycie,

I like to whole punch my smart source and all of my inserts and put them in a binder. This way coupons never get lost and I can always cut them up before going grocery shopping. It works great for me!

    Thanks!

  32. Handle a piece of paper once - file it, read it, or throw it away.

  33. I keep my coupons organized in envelopes right now, labeled by item type. Another great way to keep organized is to store seasonal clothing under the bed in storage units to prevent clutter in your closet.

  52. All those discount cards you get, grocery store, video rental, beauty store, etc. I was always losing those cards and you do save a lot of money with them. My best friend came up with a great idea. She hole punched them all with a single hole and stuck them on a basic key ring. It fits in my purse and they're all right there when I need them.

  54. The easiest organization tip I have to get one of those notepads with a magnet that gets attached to the fridge. And just train everyone in the house to write down when they've used the next to last of something. 58. Organizational tip: do a little bit every day. I tend to get overwhelmed by the sheer mass of everything I need to organize, but if I plan ahead just a little bit, I can set things up so I can organize for just a few minutes every day and suddenly realize I've finished a project I thought was a goner!

A newbie to couponing/getting all the deals... my eyes are bigger than my organizing right now... I can't stop trying to make more and more deals! My table is a mess and my recycling bin is full of the remnants of cutting up coupons. I have more food, toiletries and miscellaneous items in my house than I can find space for, but I love it!
