Gardens Alive: Possible Coupon Savings with Catalog Sign-Up

Frugalista Cafe shared with me that she received a $25 off $25 order coupon on the latest edition of Gardens Alive magazine. While I can't promise that you'll get the same kind of coupon, I figured it was worth a try, right? You can sign-up for the catalog HERE.

Thanks for sharing, Frugalista Cafe!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some FREE gardening items! And if not, I'll have fun browsing through it. :) I am so excited that I have a veteran gardener helping me get mine started this year. For those of you that haven't checked out her site yet, you should stop by Money Saving Maine-iac. She's a real gem! I love her "Yucky Stuff is the Lucky Stuff" series.

How To Preserve Fresh Herbs

I was flipping through my Taste of Home Healthy Cooking Magazine and I saw that they had a video on how to preserve fresh herbs. I just watched it HERE and it was actually very informative! They give you lots of different ways --from days to months storage--and also info on making pesto to freeze. It actually kind of inspired me to grow some. I had no idea you could do this.

I just thought I'd pass it along in case some of you are growing herbs in your garden and don't know what to do with them. I was growing cilantro. But my little guy Nathan thought it was weeds and pulled it all out. :) Kids--sometimes they can be too helpful! (I thought it was so funny. I guess I'll have to buy another one or get it fresh when it comes time to make salsa!)

Organic Gardening: Free 1 Yr Subscription w/ Purchases

Coupon Cravings has all the details HERE on how you can get a 1 Year Subscription to Organic Gardening with 2 UPCs from some specific purchases.

I just got my first issue in the mail this week. I can't wait to check it out. I had stumbled onto a free subscription online earlier. What's great is, my FIL loves gardening magazines, too. So I just pass them on to him before they get recycled. I'm hoping by the time I am ready for a BIG garden, that I'll have all the know-how by then.

It's kind of cool and I know a lot of you are going to be doing this. So I thought you'd take a minute and "count your garden" for them here.

They also have these other cool features to enjoy:
