New Year's Eve is such a fun time for me and my hubby. Several years back, I received a deep fryer for Christmas. So that year, we started our annual "fry fest." We fry up some of our favorite foods and then catch up on some TV shows or movies that we've missed out on. It's a fun time and I like that we are safely at home starting off the New Year together.

It's been an incredible year for Coupon Geek. I never dreamt that a little hobby of mine could turn into finding so many wonderful people to share my deal findings and life experiences with. Thank you all for being so fabulous and for sharing your lives with me, as well.

I hope that 2010 continues to be just as fun!

Happy Holidays & Upcoming Changes for 2010

I'm going on a mini-vacation to celebrate Christmas with my family. They are always so supportive of the blog and have been incredibly understanding over the last few weeks as more of my attention has been focused on finding deals for holiday gifts for everyone. It's now time for me to put 100% of my focus on them.

So I will be completely offline December 24th and 25th and then on "light" mode for the rest of the year. I'll pop in and out when I see/hear of some hot deals or coupons.

I'm looking forward to another great year of blogging in 2010. I have a few new series planned along with resuming with some of my old favorites. I'm also getting everything set-up to switch from Blogger to Wordpress. So you'll be seeing some new design changes, as well.

While the focus of the blog will always be about sharing deals, freebies and coupons that randomly become available, I'd like to go back to sharing more ways to stretch your money long-term, as well. So expect more postings about long-term savings. Together, we can all achieve that debt-free life.

I hope that you will continue to enjoy the blog and that it helps you save more money to get the most out of your income. Thank you for sharing your lives and exciting shopping trips and deal-findings with me this year. You have all been so wonderful to me and I'm thankful for each and every one of my reader friends.

Shopping Spottings: Easter Clearance Findings

I just thought I'd throw this one out there for those of you that are out this week and find some GREAT clearance deals.

This posting is just a spot for you to share what great clearance bargains you've found at any store for Easter things...or even just clearance items in general!

My favorite place to check for holiday clearance is Target. At Halloween and Valentine's, I found some really great high-quality hand towels. The designs were basic enough to use all year round. It's really helped me cut back on my paper towel usage!
