I think that the biggest thing I need to focus on with fitness is just doing it. I can always come up with things to do instead of exercising and I need to just do it : )

hi,
ReplyDeletei have 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 boys and i think the biggest factor that keeps me from exercising is that boys are all ways rowdy. i usually keep nap time for household chores but i need to remind myself that i have to take care of my self also, which in turn will make me a better mom.
thanks,
sabrina

Like Kim said the biggest thing that I need to do is just get in the exercise mode and habit. I've gained about 15 pounds since having a baby and I need to get back into shape (so I don't have to buy all new clothes). Thanks for the chance and I really enjoy reading your blog. :)

My biggest thing to focus on is being easier on myself. I work out consistently, but I am SO hard on myself. I'd like to think that if I eased up a bit, I would actually do better, you know?

Weird - this was our dinner conversation topic for the evening ... I definitely need to focus on consistency. I tend to work out really well for about a week, then slowly drop off because of excuse after excuse .. I want it to just be part of my life. I've wanted to try the 30 Day Shred, just haven't gotten around to purchasing it so this would be great! Good luck in your August Challenge - I am going to try to use you as my inspiration to keep it up this month.
ReplyDeleteI'm a blog follower and enjoy reading all of the great deals and tips! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteIn order for me to look my best, I need to focus on weight/strength training as well as cardio. The weights are making a big difference in my body. I'm finally losing the inches that wouldn't come off with cardio alone. I try to keep my workouts fresh and fun and I work out with a buddy. We'd love to have Jillian's workout!
ReplyDeleteI need to focus on not being an emotional eater--which means eating only when I'm TRULY hungry!

ReplyDeleteLast year was hard for me, as we moved from Hawaii to Florida, I was feeling depressed and ate all the time, and of course the pounds piled up!...On Febuary this year a friend invited me to go to the gym with her, so we started to get into an excercise routine, which was hard at first, but after a couple of months we added new moves, and when summer arrived we started to swimm a few times a week as well, which I love! So, basically we are always trying new excercise routines to keep us motivated and to have fun with it.

I'm reading a lot about what everyone needs to focus on....what we really need to focus on is
ReplyDelete"ourselves". My new quote "it's finally all about me" Took me a long time to figure that out. I joined a gym, try to walk every night, and I downloaded a free copy of Jillian Michael's Mini Workouts, and wake up an hour earlier every day to do at least 2 mini workouts. 53 next month, and I feel better than ever. Gonna write a book "My life backwards" Good luck everyone!

The thing that I need to focus on the most is my emotional eating. I tend to eat if I'm upset or bored, which really isn't healthy for me. I'm working on it though, and try to get rid of those emotions by running on the treadmill instead. :)

ReplyDeleteSomebody stole my answer :), but I was going to say I need to "JUST DO IT." Make it a priority and start forming some habits. Biggest barrier is 4 kids from 12 down to 1 who are all in different stages and don't allow for much "free time!" I could also stand to cut down on sweet snacks... but I know I won't, so I'll just start with better exercise habits. :)
