Toys R Us: Trade Games for Gift Cards

I just saw this when I was out on Wednesday and Couponers United reminded me of it.

Toys R Us now has a "Trade Games for Gift Cards" plan. You can go to their site HERE and see if you can find a game listed that you have to trade-in. You'll print the label and ship it and they'll mail you a gift card for the trade-value.

Trading-In games for credit or selling them is a great way to play games for a long time and then get some of the value back to try out new games. We often buy used games, too.

Places that we've had luck either trading-in games, selling them or buying used games from are:

1) Blockbuster Video
2) Disc Replay
3) Gamestop

And I guess we can now check out Toys R Us's plan. Have any of you found other places that you've had success with trading-in or selling games?

Toys R Us: Word World Toys 50% Off?

My husband stopped by Toys R Us today and found out that the Word World Toys are on sale for $4.99 right now, normally $9.99. They come with a Word World DVD.

If you are looking for a gift for a toddler or if your child is a fan of the show, $4.99 isn't a bad price for a spelling-aid and a DVD.

Hopefully your locations have them marked down, too! There's wasn't a sales sign by them but that's what they all rang up. So check your price scanner before you check out!

You can see some of them HERE for an idea of what I'm refering to. :) Also, in case your child hasn't watched it yet, it's a super cute cartoon on the PBS Station that's great at teaching sounds, letters and spelling.

UPDATE: When I called our other Toys R Us to see if they had any, they said a woman found out they rang up as $4.99 and went back and bought 30 more, clearing out their stock. I guess we aren't the only people who love them!

Toys R Us: EA Sports Active

So, some of you told me that you were wanting the EA Sports Active but couldn't find a deal on it. Now, I'm not sure if this is regional or not, but in our Toys R Us ad this week, they have a buy EA Sports Active, get a $10 gift card. (Note: I don't see the deal online.) Now, if you can find a Toys R Us printable, you can sweeten the deal. Some even take Babies R Us printables/coupons. And maybe you are like us---we were mailed a $10/$50 purchase coupon a few weeks ago.

I really wanted to get this but I couldn't justify the $59 right now. My hubby told me he'd get it for my b-day and I said, no. Well, they had this deal a few weeks ago for the $10 GC and our $10 coupon so he was able to pick it up for $39. He told me I could have it early but I said the only thing I have to "look forward to" right now is getting older--so I'll wait. :) But I hear there's a 30-day challenge on it and once I get to check it out, I may start it up July 1st.

Just passing this along in case you have some coupons to pair with the $10 gift card earning, you might be able to make it within your price range.
